The investigation team that is probing the Ancheri Baby murder case, in which former Idukki CPM district secretary, MM Mani, is allegedly involved, has said that it have received clinching evidence against Mani and six others.

The investigating team also said that it was planning to include CPM district secretary K K Jayachandran to the list of the accused. It added that it had strong evidence to prove that K K Jayachandran had been part of the conspiracy to kill Baby.  While two of the six accused had been included in the initial charge sheet, the final charge sheet would include the others.

The investigation report is to be submitted to the Home Ministry by next week.
