Thiruvananthapuram: was assaulted by police as she staged a protest in front of DGP office on Wednesday demanding justice. Talking to media persons at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital, she said the police kicked her. “They first assaulted my brother. Further, they dragged me along the streets. I will continue my fight till justice is served. I’m even willing to give up my life for the cause,” Mahija said. Jishu’s family members had arrived in the state capital from Kozhikode to stage a protest in front of DGP Loknath Behara's office on Wednesday morning demanding the arrest of all those responsible for Jishnu's death. Mahija, who reached the police headquarters along with her relatives in the morning, was reportedly dragged along the streets by the police, who refused to give approval for the strike in front of the headquarters.
