Mythili, who was rumoured to have received a notice from the CBI, to report before them for further queries about Fayas and his gold smuggling, has slammed all those reports. She said that she has not received any notice from the CBI yet, and she is not aware of anything. She said that she knows Fayas from the past six years and he is just a common friend. Fayas, who is the accused for gold smuggling case, is in jail curently. The investigation surrounding him led to his many close relation with many of the South Indian stars. At first, it was Dileep and later came the name of Edavela Babu. Both of them said that they knew Fayas, but were not aware of his smuggling business.

Later came the name of former Miss South India Sravya Sudhakar, who also said that she know Fayas. She claimed that she was introduced to him by actress Mythili. But, Mythili has slammed these reports too and said that she knows Fayas as well as Sravya, but were ignorant of the fact that they knew each other. Again, a model from Chennai named Muthu Chippi, is also said to be associated with Fayas. That doesn't mean that we are part of whatever illegal activities they are involved in." Adding on, she also said, "I don't understand why I should respond to all this even, I haven't got any intimation from the CBI."
