Tarnishing the clean image of the LDF in the solar scam, evidences point to the fact that the LDF government had chose not to probe cases against Saritha and Biju during its regime.  

Evidences show that a petition filed by T R Prakash against the duo for duping him of Rs 41 lakhs after offering to set up a waste-recycling business was closed by the LDF government citing it as a civil case.

Prakash, who is a permanent resident of Chennai, filed the case on 27 September, 2005 to Thiruvanathapuram city police commissioner when the Oommen Chandy led UDF government was in power. The very next day, he gave a complaint to the CM. Though it was handed over to DGP, no steps were taken to resolve it.

Later, Prakash filed a new case at the CJM court in Alappuzha when the V S government was in power. Kodiyeri Balakrishanan was Home Minister then. Though the court transferred the case to the police, nothing happened. The case was closed on the excuse that it was a civil case.

Now Prakash has approached the special investigation team formed to probe the solar scam case to consider his case too .

The revelations have spoiled the claims of all CPM leaders that the LDF government had investigated all cases related to Saritha and Biju effectively.
