CPM leader and deputy opposition leader, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, has said that VS Achuthanandan would continue as opposition leader in the Kerala Assembly.

Kodiyer denied that there were moves to make changes at the top during the CPM state plenum. Kodiyeri said that VS Achuthanandan was an elected leader and that the plenum was a platform to discuss organisational issues in the party.
