One person was killed and another injured today in a clash between supporters of ruling Trinamool Congress and BJP at Parui in Birbhum district, the police said.

Sheikh Jasim, suspected to be a BJP supporter of Chowmondalpur village, was shot dead early this morning when they were attacked allegedly by Trinamool Congress members in the village, the police said.

Superintendent of Police Birbhum Alok Rajoria visited the village today.
