The Nedumbassery airport has been closed due to heavy rains. Airport authorities informed that the services have been temporarily stopped because of heavy rain.

Flooding in the runway affected services from Nedumbassery airport and 16 airline services would be affected until a review is conducted at 1.00 pm.

The operations at the airport are to be resumed once the situation is reviewed by the airline authorities.Reports show that moves to divert services to other airports have started already
