A young couple, facing opposition from their respective families to their relationship, committed suicide by jumping before a speeding train at Bharthana Railway Station here today.

The bodies of Sonu and Soni (both 18) were found at the western outer of the station this morning, Police Inspector, Bharthna Kotwali, Balbir Singh said.

The couple, belonging to Nagla Dhadeusrahar village, had wanted to get married but their family members were opposed to their relationship, following which today they jumped before the train, the inspector said.

The girl had dressed herself as a bride before committing the suicide, he added.
