Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung on Saturday said he will submit a "factual" report to President Pranab Mukherjee on government formation here following his meeting with the Aam Admi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal.
His statement came shortly after the meeting in a release issued by his office.
The release also said that Kejriwal, referring to the Congress's letter offering support to AAP to form the government, told Jung that he would be in a position to form a government only after ascertaining the views of the people.
The Congress told Jung on Friday that it was ready to "unconditionally" support an AAP government to end the political logjam in Delhi.
Kejriwal told the media after the meeting that he has sought 10 days time from the lt. governor to take a decision regarding government formation in Delhi.
Jung had invited the AAP after the BJP, the single largest party in the 70-member house with 31 seats, declined the offer as they didn't have a majority. The AAP has 28.
