CPM has criticized Sandhya, the housewife who lashed at CPM protesters who had blocked roads while demonstrating outside the Cliff House, and Kochouseph Chittilappalli, who announced a reward for her bravery.

CPM's state secretariat member Baby John criticised both Sandhya and Chittillappalli by saying that their retaliation was out of place. He said this while inaugurating the strike today.
