President Pranab Mukherjee will arrive here on Monday for a two-day visit to the state capital. On his first official visit to the state as President, Mukherjee would arrive here in the evening by a special aircraft and stay at the Raj Bhavan.
He will inaugurate the Viswa Malayala Mahotsavam (World Malayalam Festival) and address MLAs as part of the ongoing 125th anniversary celebrations of the state Assembly on October 30, official sources said. The three-day World Malayalam Festival is being organised by the Department of Culture and the Kerala Sahitya Academy.
Mukherjee would be the third President to address members in the Assembly. Earlier, KR Narayanan and APJ Abdul Kalam had addressed members of the House during their tenures.

Pranab will inaugurate the Viswa Malayala Mahotsavam and address MLAs as part of the ongoing 125th anniversary celebrations of the state Assembly.
The President would also inaugurate the golden jubilee celebrations of Loyola College of Social Sciences here the same day before leaving for Delhi, official sources said. Security has been tightened in and around the city ahead of the President's visit.
