Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala hit back at CPM State Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan for calling Rahul a 'clownish' character.

He said CPM leaders must have been terrified on seeing the public support that Rahul received in Alappuzha during his one-day visit on Monday.

Chennithala said Rahul's ride over the police vehicle was not a security lapse. Security forces were aware of the ride and it was a part of security measures, he claimed.
