Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has thanked the Left parties for ending the siege on the Secretariat.

The CM said that his resignation from office has been a long-time demand of the LDF. He also said that he had not decided on the next course of action in the Lavlin case.

The CM said that a judicial enquiry was ordered because police investigations in the case had almost come to an end. The CM also said that he would not deny the Left's claim that the agitation was a success. He reiterated that his government was ready for discussions on the solar scam, but the opposition had been rejecting it.
