The state government has on Wednesday categorically maintained that there would be no relaxation in its directive to install speed governors in all buses. It was informed during a meeting with the bus owners' association here Wednesday.

The government has allotted time till October 2 for the bus owners to install speed governors.

The decision was taken after State transport minister, Aryadan Muhammed had held a meeting with bus owners in the state Wednesday. The government has given instructions to repair defective speed governors immediately.

Meanwhile the bus owners have assured that the defective speed governors will be repaired and will be installed in buses from Thursday onwards.
